Retail level of the Shanghai entertainment center. This area was conceived as a cute neighborhood inspired by the architecture of California. We developed a design package for each retail elevation in this space.
Designed to fit within a newly built mall and hotel, the Shanghai Entertainment Center involved a rather significant dive into My Little Pony fandom, stories, and friendship. This project was developed under the direction of Brock Larsen Design and Entertainment Design Group. I led a team of architectural designers, artists, and 3D modelers to create a series of attractions at a family entertainment center. We created an experience inviting guests to visit their favorite characters and earn rewards throughout their experience. We developed a detailed set of schematic plans and elevations embracing the stories of Equestria (the imaginary land of the My Little Pony universe). In addition, zones dedicated to the Hasbro Transformers franchise will entertain visitors within the same entertainment venue.
